Sponsors’ Lunch 2nd March 2019
The annual Sponsors’ Lunch at Thanet Wanderers was organised and hosted by the club’s Marketing Director Peter Ruranski and was held in the clubhouse. The event is a thank you to the club’s generous sponsors whose help is vital to the club’s current and future plans. Peter welcomed them and before lunch Cary Wright spoke of the considerable progress he and Tom Carlier had made with the Schools Development Programme, introducing and developing rugby in Thanet Schools. The programme is operated through the help of our sponsors and particularly that from the Paul Keohane Sports Fund. Many club members also attended and joined with the sponsors in enjoying an excellent lunch courtesy of Kelly Smith and Gerry Doyle and their kitchen and front of house staff. Andy Bull who has recently joined Peter in the club’s marketing department is the Under 9s coach and some of the team were busy selling raffle tickets before forming a guard of honour as the players took the field for the match against Deal and Betteshanger Lions. Well done to the youngsters they did a first class job and the first XV won too!
