WARREN ALFIE RIDDELL-BROOMFIELD – HEARTFELT THANKS

Warren sustained a broken ankle in the match against Old Dunstonians. Later, coach Gary Hingley told the crowded clubhouse of the seriousness of the injury and the implications for the young player. The reaction was swift and a collection raised a large sum. Warren can’t thank everyone who contributed enough for this amazing gesture. He would also like to record his thanks to Monique Boorman and her physio team for their help at the time of the injury.

As those who were at the match against Crowborough on Saturday will have observed. you can’t keep a good man down for long and he was there supporting his team-mates as he buzzed around in his electric wheelchair. Warren thanks everyone for their best wishes and aims to make a speedy return to pre-season training and full fitness.

UPDATE

Following the similar serious injury suffered by Brett Scott in this Saturday’s match, Warren has decided to share his collection with his mate and captain Brett.

Great gesture from a true Wanderer. Good on yuh Wozza
