Folkestone 60 vs TWRUFC Ladies XV 20

Thanet women travelled to Folkestone today for a game against a team that have been established for several years and sit at second in the Inner Warrior development league. The ladies made a great start with Capt Gee scoring within the first minute. There was a lot of activity with tries by both sides, Alex and Sophia both joining the scorers and  Gee scoring again as well as 4 tries for Folkestone. The first 1/3 ending 20-20.
Folkestone stepped up their game and Thanet worked really hard in defense but the second 1/3 ended 35-20 to Folkestone.
In the final 1/3 Folkestone's experience showed through a little but Thanet worked amazingly hard in defense and surprised them with the intensity of their tackling. The final score was 60-20 to Folkestone.
This was a great performance from a team in only their 4th ever game and the whole team should be proud of their performance against a team with a lot more experience.
