Well what a start! Thanet Wanderers women welcomed Old Gravesendians to the Rec this afternoon for their first ever game. From the start they were immense and took the visitors a little by surprise with 3 early tries. The opposition fought back and at the end Thanet rain out 36-32 winners, 4 tries for Sophia and 2 for Millie and 3 conversions for Sophia as well.
The game was played in great spirit and we thank the visitors for making the long journey down.
The team couldn't have asked for a better start and all the hard work at training has paid off.
