Final Score: Thanet 33 – 7 Dover
Back of the Match: Tabs Raymonde; led by example, scoring the majority of Thanet’s points and controlling play brilliantly from the backs, creating multiple line breaks.
Forward of the Match: Sian Boyce; tireless at the breakdown, excellent in support, and made strong carries to gain valuable metres.
Coaches’ comments: A fantastic team effort across both games. The ruck and support speed were excellent, with some superb counter-rucking and defensive pressure. A little more structure in the breakdown will help prevent players going off their feet, but overall, the work rate and execution were outstanding.
Both forwards and backs combined well to exploit gaps and weak tackles, constantly breaking the gain line and keeping the tempo high throughout.
Special mention to Kat Stuart, who captained brilliantly in her final match before returning to Australia, a fitting send-off performance for a respected teammate and leader.
