Event - Thanet Wanderers Rugby Club

Thanet Wanderers Rugby Club are sad to announce the sudden death of Bernie Farrell. Bernie was one of the greatest players to have worn a Wanderers shirt and was a stalwart of the 1st XV for over 20 years having joined the club in the late 1960s. He had previously played for Cambridge University and also had spells at Saracens and London Irish during his time at Thanet. Bernie taught at Chatham House Grammar School until his retirement and will be remembered fondly by ex-pupils. A full tribute to Bernie will be published in the next few days along with funeral details.
