22nd April 20172.30pmU15s0-38Southend RFCFriendly v SouthendH

The U15s finished the season with the hardest game for nearly two years. Southend had the edge from the kick off when they came out the traps at a staggering pace. With Thanet holding on for the first 10 mins eventually the line broke and Southend scored from close range. The U15s then conceded a penalty close to the line resulting in a try for Southend. The U15s had some scoring opportunities late in the first half but two knock ons resulted and no scores for Thanet. With the start of the second half the U15s finally caught up with the pace of the game, yet again wasting scoring opportunities with dropped balls and penalties. But despite the result the U15s kept going to the final whistle.
