Sunday 23rd September 2018 saw the start of the U16s B XV Kent Cup campaign at home to Maidstone RFC.

Thanet started strongly and quickly raced out to a 17-0 lead with 2 tries from star man, Matthew Jacobs and one from Archie Rixon  before Maidstone clambered their way back to 17-12.

Wanderers then stretched away with 3 further tries from Alfie Kujawinski, Jake Chamberlain and Harry Carter in his first game back at the club for 3 years. Thanet coasted home in a 32-12 victory.

Head coach Lodge said, "This was a well deserved victories from a bunch of incredibly dedicated boys. Their attendance at training is rarely short of 100% and everything we teach them, they soak it in and ask for more. We have big plans for the squad and want to start to win more than just silver medals in 2019.

"It's going to be an exciting season and if you're at a loose end any given Sunday, it's worth coming up to St Peter's to see the club's future stars!"

Tries: Jacobs 2, Chamberlain, Rixon, Carter, Kujawinski
